We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Log out, and log back in. It's not always point related. Sometimes its Time Related too. Once logged back in, go and shoot in a server for a while, then you should get promoted.
It took me to about 1200 points before it registered. Somebody told me the official number was 1050. Who knows. I would say make sure you have 1100 points. Log off, shutdown your computer, go get a cup of coffee, take a shower, or something. Come back, Start up and there should be a big message on your screen, saying you've been promoted and what would you like to unlock. Also, be aware that it may take up to a day for your points tobe registered wherever it's important.
The main thing is to not be too concerned, because you'll see as soon as you're promoted that it is no big deal, except that you get to drive the Hovercraft in Dragon Valley.
Even my sig now shows me as a Private First Class with 1043 points ...
Anyway I logged on BFHQ to see if I've been promoted allready, and i was like *GASP* ... cuz all my stats were gone !!!! Hope it's just a momentary thing ...
There is nothing about time on the totalbf2.com "RANKS" section ... is it really about time ? o_O
Global Points Required:
~1000
The ~ means approximately. I wouldn't of put it there if it wasn't. I didn't clearly state it, but yes it is a matter of time also, for certain awards and ranks. Usually its a bit more points that are required, mostly because the servers aren't updated.
Ok, so i went to a server, killed three guys, and i got promoted. So it seems like it really is 1050 ... maybe it should be fixed on the totalbf2.com ...
never mind, problem solved. It's just that it's 4:13 AM here and i REALLY want to go to bed, but i was so close to promotion that I really wanted that done. Hence the worries.
EDIT : Sorry, I didn't know that "~" means "approximately" ... so I guess you don't have to fix anything
