    Am I missing something?

I have been trying to get the Airborne medal.

I have, at least twice, timed myself in a parachute. Both times it took over 10 seconds to touch the ground. I have not yet recieved this medal.

Is there something buggy with the servers?

Maybe your game lags you out of realtime

Here`s an easy way. Fly as high as the plane will take you, then parachute as soon as you`re out. I know that you don`t need that much air, but at least you`re guaranteed to get it...

Get in the JSF or any other plane that can hover. Hover straight up to an altitude of 500 or so, jump out, and pull out your chute. You'll get your ribbon in a second or two, you don't even need to survive the fall.

Oh, and it's NOT time based.

Just go to about 300, it's around 20 seconds.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Got it last night.

It still doesn't make sense though. I was awarded the ribbon FASTER last night, than on previous jumps. I wonder if the award is actually based on altitude...

It is based on parachueting from a certain altitude. I forget how high though.

The award guide, linked to this site (and others) states 10 seconds in a parachute, hence my confusion.

I'm not sure about that. I jumped out of a BH for a 12 sec. drop and then the next time I dropped for 2 or 3 secs and I got the ribbon.

it's probably total distance (global) that you have parachuted...

Maybe it's because you have a ridiculously lame name.
