How do you turn off the ingame sound

When the map is loading it always freezes on sound at 27-29% I want to know how to turn the ingame sound off so it will just skip loading sound so i can play

the options not there because they didnt think no one in the right mind would play the game without sound. maybe its our RAM. Hwo much do you have?

1 gig of ram, and my other specs are radeon 9800pro with latest drivers p4 2.0ghz and a sblive soundcard with its latest drivers. I would also like to mention the last time i played the game b4 i uninstalled for the new patch it was working perfectly fine.

Well you can try sliding all the sound sliders to 0%, but I doubt it will work. You need to re-install:

A) Graphics Drivers
B) Sound Drivers
C) DirectX 9.0c
D) Battlefield 2


Do them in that order (as in try it inbetween each step). Remember when you update your graphics drivers to uninstall the old ones first!
