strangest MAJOR problem ever

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! That was it! I looked in video.con and there it was: 1280x960@200Hz. changed it into 1024x768@100H and it worked! You're an angel (well not really but thanks anyway :p )

ps. Still curious, how the F*** did it change suddenly to 200Hz while I was doing nothing out of the ordinary?

when i cleck video.con i get a message saying

I can't open video.con and get this message

"Windows cannot open this file
To open this file windows needs to know what program created it.......

What do you want to do?
o Use the web service to find the appropriate program
o Select the program from the list"

Hey sammy, having the same problems eh?

Well the video.con file is a file that only works for bf2 and windows doesn't know what to open it with. So when that message comes up choose 'Select the program from the list' and then select notepad or textpad.

k i have the same problems as DogLike ... i opened video.con with Notepad.. and did wat simwiz told us to do .. and well it still wasnt working.. do u save the settings as SAVE AS and under the Video.Con file .. or something else plz some1 help .. i have never played this game b4 and i am so desperate to play ... ahhhh =D

i also have this to add.. i tried running it in a minimized window.. but something happened it said,
