ESRB Attempts to Shut Down Modding, Modding Strikes Back

Found this on a GTA site if it means anything to you guys

After recent statments from the ESRB stating they wish to see modding for all games stopped, some of us decided it would be a good idea to defend ourselves from the whole "modders are evil" myth they are perpetuating. Namely that we somehow made something so shocking and offensive with Hot Coffee that it undermines their whole rating system, even though they've rated at least a half dozen titles as M which are just as (if not more) explicit than anything in San Andreas; modded or otherwise.
Remember just putting out the word and if its true we should fight back.

Just when you thought the Hot Coffee scandal was back to a simmer, God decides to show up. RockStar Games has admitted to inserting a hidden bible study minigame into GTA: San Andreas after weeks of denial.
betcha self proclaimed "centralist" hillary didnt see that one coming..

apparently bored of the endless discussions about unimportant topics like balancing the budget, terrorism and extracting ourselves from the Middle East, took up the heated topic of sinful video game sex.
the FTC because of her grandstanding is going to launch a 90 million dollar investigation into this issue with our tax dollars!
last time i checked there was war going on!
she needs to be struck and killed by a drunk driver..

They're morons... You can't stop people from being creative and expressing themselves. Art is art, and you cannot stop it from being. This is where parents need to step in and decide for THEMSELVES what they think their children can and cannot play/watch. This crap is getting rediculous. It'll never fly.

Seriously, If they try to stop mods, they might as well make a movement against all Do-It-Yourself projects.

NO MODDING YOUR OWN COMPUTER! YOU MIGHT PAINT PORN ON IT!

OH NOES! RECALL ALL CRAYONS! PEOPLE COULD MOD A PENIS ON THEIR SHIRT! SHIELD YOUR EYES!

                      Nobody's taking my modded shirt...

You can't stop modding, and the only game i've seen that is 'unmoddable' in terms of everything except skins, is the IL-2 series flight sim's. The engine is completley closed up, and you can only make your own skins...It sucks, but people never really mod flight sims except the CFS series. However BF2 was made for modding, I mean seriously look how damn easy it is to mod it, look how EA fully supports it's mod community, and actually tries hard to keep it. (despite things going on at the moment) Nonetheless EA is still making money off BF1942 from Desert Combat, and other popular mods.
