Here's a tip with the medic gun:

If you are ever firing at an emeny even remotely far away, put the gun on single shot and click very rapidly. It is much more accurate than on automatic, and you can fire more rounds off.

      Remotely?
I would say that 2-shot-burst is best at medium range, but at long ranges, you're right.

How do you run a ambulance? Do you just get in a car? Does it have to be a type of car? Do you have to press a button?

        Any info would be thanked

When u jump into a vehicle and drive it, then it automatically becomes an ambulance. if u get near other players or they ride with you, (and they can use some healing) you'll hear that scratching type sound as they are healed, then u might get a "you got a heal point" pop up..

Wrong. You do not lose tickets unless you die. That the whole point of Medics. If they revive you, the team does NOT lose a ticket.

Seriously, how many people actually read the manual?

This is a great thread. Learn alot about being a medic thanks!

The only difficulty I have in being a medic is quickly finding teamates who need reviving on my min-map even if they are near. I of course hear them but trying to sprint to them before they respawn in 5 - 15 seconds can be tough. Is there a trick to quickly spotting down comrades on the min-map? Do they appear as a different icon?

              Thanks.

Well, when you're not really close to them I reccomend putting it on single shot and firing really rapidly with that.

If they are far away then use your gun more like a sniper.

Good question. I don't use the minimap for finding people to revive. You can see the player tags of anyone within 30 meters of you, which also means you can see if they're dead or below half-health; you can see dead people 50+ meters. If a person is 40 meters off and you see them as soon as they die, you can make it- but that's pretty tight. 20-30 meters and you're safe.

Guys that have lost some health have an orange circle around their blue dot.

Guys that have lost over half their health have a red circle around their blue dot.

Guys that are critically wounded are shown as a red dot with a crack through the middle (looks a bit like a lightning bolt).

Also, anyone that calls for a medic shows up as a red cross in a white circle. This also applies to critically wounded who call for a medic when they are down.

I mainly play a medic, but don't have the unlock yet. How long does it take? Also why is the healing point thing so random? I can heal somone that was past half dead and I won't get one, but if I heal a guy with relativly minor injuries I will get a point?

You will get an unlock at Lance Corporal, which is approx 1050 global points.

Healing points are cumulative, so if you heal a guy that is on 1/4 health and then heal a guy that is on 3/4 health you will receive a healing point.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the answers. Should I unlock the medic first? Or the Spec Ops? Do you get to choose what you unlock or is it automatic?

You get to choose whatever gun you want. Since you play medic most of the time, I would recommend unlocking the medic gun. It's a well rounded gun and IMO is far better than the 3 shot burst m16.
