Medic Tips

This is one of the tips that I use... it's nothing spectacular, but it helps alot...
When you have a feeling that there will be a firefight coming up, or even if you are just injured and need to both cover yourself and be able to fight back at the same time, instead of holding the medic bag in your hand and being slowly healed, toss a bag (or two, or even three - all seperated so that you don't get them all at once) onto the ground and instead of sitting there with the medic bag still selected, pull out your weapon THEN proceed to the medic bags to heal yourself WHEN NEEDED.
If you still have the medic bag selected after you throw down a few, you will be vulnerable and won't be able to return fire as quickly.
This is mostly common sense, but I just figured I'd mention it.Comment

Im susally a medic, and I dont do too bad myself...although I do alot of fighting and heal myself with my last med kit...all the other ones are scattered across the map
also, anyone have an opinion on the Med kit unlockable weapon? I have it, and dont know weather it was a waste or a good unlockable wep.

Indeed... in fact, I'm just a Lance Corporal (look at my sig) and that was what I chose to unlock because with the ability to heal and revive, and a badass weapon as well, what kit could possibly be better?Originally posted by (L$S)Xecutioneralso, anyone have an opinion on the Med kit unlockable weapon? After using the weapon alot, I've found that from Medium-to-long range, it's quite unaccurate and scatters a hell of alot, but in close quarters combat it's pretty sweet.
When fighting from Medium range, I've killed several people by using burst fire, but I definetely wouldn't recommend it... most of the time it either alerts them of my position or gets me killed in the process .... or BOTH.
I'd say it was an OK weapon, but I'm still debating with myself over whether or not I should have chosen to unlock the G36C for the Spec Ops or the G3 for the Assault class.... oh well, there's no turning back now! The decision has been made! :p
It's not a very bad weapon, though... I just wish it wasn't so damned inaccurate at long ranges.Comment

Hmmm.... I should be unlocking this gun sometime tonight, or perhaps tomorrow at the latest. Good or bad, I play 99% of the time as either support or medic, and I've already unlocked the PKM, so I figure even if there are better guns, why unlock something that wont get used nearly as much?
Anyway, I'm hoping I at least prefer it to the standard medic gun.Comment

Also a great tip, if your using your difibs, and in close proximity to an enemy, remember that they are in fact a weapon themselves. So far in this day alone i have managed 6 shock paddle kills cause i was bring back a teammate but an enemy came round the corner at the same time cause me to just shock him and them bring back my teammate. :)Comment

TIP: It's good to toss out medic bags willy-nilly where you think they might get picked up at some later time by teammates in need. BUT! Remember: If you are in close proximity to enemy troops, they can hear the "get first aid here" call!
I was playing Shar-qe tonight and my squad was trying to take the middle flag in the construction site. There was enemy troops guarding it on the floor above us. We were about to try and sneak up the stairs to surprise them when the medic in my squad started throwing med packs at our feet. "Oh damn!" I thought. Then, of course, four MEC soldiers come running down the stairs, and blew us all back to the spawnpoint.Comment

Got it pretty much covered.
The key to a good medic is: be aggressive in reviving your mates BUT always keep in mind that a dead medic is a useless medic.
As for dropping med packs...please do and remember to drop them in areas that squaddies will seek shelter in, i.e., around corners, behind concrete barricades, etc. Think about where YOU would like to find a med pack when in need.
Become a squad leader as a medic. Why? Because you should be hanging back from the action and thus should not get nailed as often. Your squad mates will spawn on your location which will help keep the pressure on the baddies.
Revive other medics first! That way there will be more of you reviving the fallen soldiers.
Again...a GOOD medic is one that is self-less but not dumb.Comment

Right, my take on the Medic unlock.
Accuracy: 10/10
In a game with severely flawed aiming, this weapon is a Godsend. Put in single fire and get the head-shot. Bye-bye.
This baby's so accurate that I have, on many occasions, outsniped Sniper with it. In addition, it's zoom allows for a nice amount of scouting options.
I can't really say anything else as I have no complaints.
Damage: 7/10
The damage on this thing isn't great, as it takes about 4 rounds to disable an enemy. With the flawed hit-detection in this game, it sometimes spells doom for the Medic. However, it's still more powerful than the M16, and more accurate than any other burst or auto weapon, so it's a good bet that you'll come out of the confrontation alive.
Reliability: 8/10
While quite untrue in real life, this is a nice, reliable weapon in-game. A fairly short reload time coupled with its 30 round clip make this perfect for close encounters and fast reactions. In addition, it's accuracy ,eans that you'll spend less ammo shooting your targets, which, on average, will equal about an extra magazine of ammo if you conserve well.
Value: 9/10
Unlockable weapons are rarely what they crack up to be, and the only unlock that I may have taken otherwise was the PKM. While at first I thought the accuracy on this gun was fairly average, I have ince realised that it was, in fact, the kick of the weapon. Firing in two-shots bursts allows for obscene accuracy that no rapid-fire weapon can match.
Total: 8.5/10
Is it an assault rifle? Yes? Is it a sniper rifle? Yes. Does it f*cking own? You realise this once you been using it for a couple of hours, getting used to the kick and learning its scope. It's not perfect, however, so here are some tips:
-It's a self defense weapon. Try not to go front-line with it, keep back, heal your team, and use it at long to medium ranges if at all possible.
-Accuracy on this weapon can deteriorate quickly after three or four shots, so fire in bursts.
-Use the scope when possible, and don't be afraid to go full-auto at medium range.
-This doesn more damage than both the USMC and PLA machine guns, so don't be afraid to go toe-to-toe with them if they're stanind or moving around.
-Wait for support, but not too long. This is a great weapon for stealth operations!
-This gun has a high ROF, so use it to your advantage.
-Last, but not least, remember that indeed this gun is an upgrade, but the AK series still packs more power. While I always take this over the Medic arsenal, the AKs might suit you better. The M16 generally has very quick bursts, too, so using this as MEC some be troublesome. Just make sure you plan your attacks! You're not Rambo.Comment
