I'm by no means the best med in the world, but I don't do too bad. Here's my tips for staying safe and keeping your tickets up.
- Don't be frugal with med bags. Throw them every chance you get. If there's a spot where your guys tend to hang out, make a pile of them. Even if you die, you still get points from guys using these.
- Revive from a distance. You don't have to be on top of a person to revive them. I regularly revive from 2-3 feet away. This comes in handy at places like Karkand.
- Use a shield. If there's team mates who need reviving, park a vehicle in the line of fire of the enemy, then jump out an revive them. The vehicle will also let all of you make a quick escape.
- Be a star quarterback. By jumping and throwing your med bag, you can effectively toss it across a street, over a fence, or to that guy over there. You'll need to practice your timing, but this is a great strategy.
- Pace yourself. Say there's an important team mate out in the open, but it's a dangerous run. Simply toss a line of med bags to him, then sprint with your defibs up. Your bags will heal you as you run, allowing you to get to the team mate.
- Run an ambulance. You'll automatically heal people near your vehicle, plus anyone in the vehicle with you.
- If you're in a chopper and can use your med bag, toss bags out randomly near your team mates. You'll save a few lives, and it's an easy way to get healing points.
- Use the sights on your gun, and use short bursts; prone when possible.
- Hang back from your squad. Let them do all the fighting, then revive them when they're killed. Also, toss those med bags at them like crazy.
I can't really stress the med bag tossing enough. You get an unlimited amount, and there's always someone who's hurt, so you may as well make a pile of them. I like to make little paths with them, especially in the allies at Karkand. That way, even if you die, your mates running in will always have health right there.
