Now, maybe I haven't been playing long enough, but I wasn't aware "bunny hopping" was even possible in this game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but bunny hopping refers to strafe jumping, which is possible in games such as UT and Quake where one could gain momentum by jumping and strafing (More to it, of course), and in that sense, yes, it was a skill. I don't consider jumping up and down "bunny hopping."

How about quake :P, then stretched to q2 where bunny hopping actually gave you a speed boost in running (usually known as straffe jumping). Bunny hopping though is just trying to jump to avoid getting hit and there is little reason for it to exsist in Bf2 and has no real affect apart from getting you killed.

Personally those who jump are usually dead to me unless they are in point blank range which is rarely these days, infact i find it easier to kill them and as they jump their movement is more predictive .... so keep on bunny hopping you CS lamers :)

Thats the text-book definition of bunnyhopping - and sadly, its alive and well in BF2.

That is Straffe jumping not bunny hopping, bunny hopping is just jumping up and down like a retard trying not to get hit ... usually unsuccessfully.

I know I shouldn't do it, I usually die when I do in fact do it yet I can't help it, there is a part of me that just wants to rythmically tap the spacebar, I even do it in World Of Warcraft tbh, it must just be muscle memory or something.

Yep its irritating when you are trying to snipe someone and as soon as they get hit they hop around like an idiot...

A good way to fix that and not punish those of us who do not exploit the jump feature, is to instantly take away all your stamina for a short time after you are shot...then the only thing that will save your life is to find cover

                  Jumping reduces your stamina.

It really just ****ing steams me, like the other guy said, you dont see our soldiers in iraq hopping all over the ****ing sand when some lead comes their way.. in fact a real soldier would be smart enough to do just the opposite, I E FIND ****ING COVER FAST!

so basically you say, STAND STILL SO I CAN SHOOT YOU.

I dont see a problem killing people bunny hopping, I kill them with ease just as people walking or standing still, if you can't manage that, that is YOUR problem.

I came from rainbow six 3: ravenshield, where you cant jump at all, took me couple days to get used to it, why cant you.
