I need help

Hey iv been having my fair amount of troubles with bf2 but now iv reached my limit. Since downloading the version1.02 hotfix iv had an error where it says " QueryDosDevice Failed", and when i go back on to the game all the icons are missing so i cant respawn or see the map or my health etc. This is on single and multiplayer. Iv tried everything from re installing the game to removing the patches and replacing them with ones from differant sites. Im hoping maybe the new patch may fix it but if anyone knows how to fix this that would be great. This is the only game that it does it on. Thanks.

dude you should post your specs ( cpu, ram, SO, vidcard, drivers...)

Just keep re-installing the patch. Alot of people are reporting md5 errors, and it sounds like you may have gotten one. Or perhaps you got a corrupted patch. I got mine directly from EA, and have had absolutely no problems.
