Yep same here was on a map playing doing very well I might add and bam like a virgin on prom night I was gone.

I have, but it has nothing to do with this, I had the same problem when I had 1.0 , 1.01 and now 1.02 , sometimes it just happens, there servers are down nothing to do with the client

Maybe you changed an option. When I play HL2, the connecting to Steam window always pops up...and then the starting HL2 window comes afterwards.

I remember the EB guy telling me you need an internet connection to play single player.

So I'm sittin up waitin to watch the shuttle launch this morning, nothing else to do so feel like playing some BF2, nope can't log on. This is annoying, especially since my account was never affected by the weapons unlocked anyway.

Is there any way at all to play single player without needing to log on ? If there is I can't seem to find it. I just feel like playing, even single player.

If you made an Offline account, you can play singleplayer.

I happend to me today tryed installling the game again and now i cant even retive my account. has anyone got on to a server yet? i hope it dont delte my account and we can all kill again soon.

Just press the button "organize accounts" after starting BF2 and create an "offline account". I don't know exactly, how these buttons are named, because I'm playing the German version, but it must be something like that.
