Will this work?

I currently play games such as Doom3 and HL2 or CS os high good quality, Doom3 is on high i believe, and i get a solid FPS dropping only as low as 30 at laggy areas. I just got a new videocard so i could play those games. I first had a GF 5200 which was garbage, then i upgraded to a 6600 (just before they went below $200 ... :[ ). I spent alot of cash on the 6600 and its running my current games great, but i hear ppl saying they run BF2 on a 6600GT, which i don't have. Will BF2 run on my 6600? plz help

512 MB of RAM

Yes it'll run. Will it run on High? Nope. You will probably squeeze medium settings out of it. Your main issue is your RAM. 512 RAM is what will force you to lower your settings due to the excessive textures and geometries.

It'll definitely run the game, however not on high.

seeing that its the 6600 not the Gt i would go with some low setting and absolutly no AA and with yoru 512MB ram i would suggest all low settings then.

Actually i correct my previous statement, i DO HAVE A 6600 GT 128MB, will that do better?

My pc is 2.0 GHz 1gb of ram and a 9600 xt 128 mb and i run bf2 on medium/high. So don't see why a 6600 gt would have a problem but you will need a fast cpu so card wont bottleneck.

you will need a 1gb of ram to notch it up to meduim/high
