BF2!!!! Install stops halfway through

I'm trying to help my friend install bf2 and everytime it gets to fu_shu map or w.e its called, it just stops and does not move it sat there for an hour and we have tried reinstalling 5 or 6 times and everytime it does the same thing? I'm so lost here and looking for some help and would be much appreciated . Please! thanks yall so much

Your CD's/DVD may be scrated, if so send it back.

i dont think so because it starts right when the 2nd cd starts and since its my friend i tried my second cd as well and same thing

Send it back and get another copy then.

did you not get what i just said? I can use my copies of my cds and its the same as his cds. must be something else

buy a new CD-Rom Drive and see if maybe it's a hardware issue...

i seriously dont think its the cdrom drive. brand new computer

Anyone at all not have similar problem at all? you would tihnk of a forum community this big someoen could point me in the right direction here. 3 hours trying to get it work and ya iv very fustraited right now

I'm actually experiencing a verry similar problem, my installation reaches the end of disk 2 at the strike at karkand and a message pops up reading "installation failed try again from the beggining" every time i try again it goes to the same section of installation and the same message appears.
