HIGH PINGS AFTER PATCH v1.02

Before the patch I was getting pings on average of around 80, now my best ping is double that, it hardly makes playing the game worth while, is there going to be a fix for that and if not, is there anything I can do to help these crazy pings.

The patch made pings high for me too. I uninstalled the game and went back to the first version. I have stayed with it since.

Do you have Mcafee installed; after the latest patch I had huge pings and really low FPS, uninstalling Mcafee firewall fixed the problem (just disabling it did not work).

Well for me, im not really lagging, except that finding a server with a ping lower than like 91 is becoming really hard. I had like 120 servers pinging from 30 to like 80 before...now I have like 4-5 servers with 100 and the rest..200 to even 25 000!!!

I hate to say it but use gamespy to find a server. It's the best way to find a good server.

Nah. Use BF2 Auto Loader. I had the same prob. as stated above getting the 200-25,000 pings. I used the auto loader. I was getting a long list of 7ms-15ms. That little proggy r0x!

Yeah it does rock. I find sweet very low ping servers with it. It has a favorite list and a great filter that actualy works. You gott get it. It makes the game enjoyable.

It's a problem with the ingame browser. If you're getting high pings then just use the ping filter. Type 100 into the box and hit enter and you'll get hundreds (I hope!) of servers with a lower ping then 100.

In saying that I use ASE and AutoLoader to connect.

Whatever the patch sucks. What does it do for the game? It just makes me lag more and make my FPS higher. I hate it. This game is going to run downhill if this is not fixed.

yeah, the patch did raise the ping on all servers. ranked servers went from about 40 the lowest to about 120

I unistalled mcafee too and that seemed to fix the problem. It also fixed my lag issues

Only in the browser though, not in the game itself (at least for most people).
