At first I was clicking the mouse as fast as I can to repair a vehicle, no wonder it was so slow to repair, I tried holding the mouse button and it seems pretty fast..

Reminds me of when I first started playing Ultima On-Line way, way, way back when. In UO you didn't even have to click to use your weapon. You just hit tab-key once to go into "combat mode" and the system would automatically swing for you every time it could, as long as you were within range of your target.

Anyway, I turned a friend of mine onto the game and he got really into it. I'd see him on there every night, playing for hours on end. Well, about a month or so after he started playing, I went over to his house one night and he was on the game and he's mashing the hell out of his mouse button, a million times per minute, every time he gets into a fight.

I asked him: "Why are you mashing your mouse like that?" And, he answered: "Man, I've busted two mouses already playing this game, andmy finger is KILLING ME! I think I'm getting carpal-tunnel syndrome! They really need to come up with a better system for fighting!"

Turns out, he'd been doing this for over a month, even though it wasn't doing anything. So, I told him about how you don't have to do anything, just go into combat mode and move to within range of your target. And, he was little embarrassed that he hadn't been able to figure out that if he didn't mash his mouse button, he'd still keep swinging.

So, a few days later I'm back at his place again AND HE'S STILL DOING IT! I ask him why, when he knows now that it's not doing anything, and he says: "I can't stop. It's just some kind of involuntary action now. My hand just automatically does it."
