    It had to happen

The war in Iraq was/is the most media covered war in the history of our planet.
So does it come as a surprise that a made for TV series is bringing us even more? Next week FX will give us a new series about the conflict. Not sure how I feel about this. A friend and clan member is on his way to Iraq.

It's a snow... I wouldn't trust it's accuracy as to real events as far as I could throw the moron who thought it up...

Not sure about that first part, but yeah, I'm kind of on the fence as far as the show goes too. My dad, uncle and brother have been deployed to Iraq in the last four years, so I'm not a stranger to the feelings it brings up. One the other hand though, I don't think people should avoid publishing media that involves a certain subject matter like the plague just because it ties into real world events, that is, of course, if it's tasteful. FX has done some decent shows, but a lot of them follow a pattern of drama, sex, drugs, violence. If it ends up like nip/tuck where they throw sex in at every turn, I'm going to be very dissappointed.
