Has anyone gotten damage assist point with Anti-Tank missles?

It seems to me that however many rockets I stick up that tank, I get no assist points if someone else kills it. Am I just imagining this?

I don't think I have either.

I assume because the only way you can get damage kill assists is by injuring the player, not the armor.

Nope, you only get damage assist's for Player Damage not Vehicular. The guy who killed the tank also killed the driver. It would be nice to get some points for helping kill a main battle tank, but the fact that they are now gone from the battlefield is pretty rewarding on it's own.

I seem to get damage assist when I bomb vehicles from airplanes and don't get them finished. Maybe I just scratch the guy on the gunner position.

It would be a nice boost to the AT class, which is imo pretty gimped without the DAO-12. I seem to be most useless when I play AT.

ya i could see that b/c as sum1 said earlier it only happens wen hurting ppl not vehicles and in this case the explosion hurt the person-just a theory

against tanks you didnt earn any helppoints but against people its possible. (Kill assist)

You dont "waste" those rockets, you helped to destroy enemy tank/APC.

I am sure I have got damage assists vs. tanks and APC's. You need to do at least 50% of the damage that kills something to get a damage assist though I think so if you just hit a tank with 1 rocket and then it gets killed by someone else you do not get a damage assist.

I know when I have almost killed a tank or APC when on my own and someone else comes along and finish's it off I am sure I get damage assists.
