People with McAfee Firewall, LAG solution here!

Hi,

If your are experincing LAG after the BF2 patch and are using McAfee Personal Firewall, please look here:

Even though BF2.exe seems to have Full Access rights in the security center, and McAfee doesn't complain about the program being altered,
you MUST delete the BF2.exe from the Internet Application list! Or McAfee will cause ping times 3 - 5 times higher than normal!

Do the following:


1. Right click McAfee icon in "System Tray" (red icon, with white M)
2. Click "Personal Firewall" > "Internet Application"
3. Locate BF2.exe in the list, and mark
4. Click "Delete Application Rule"
5. Start BF2 normally, and a new Application Rule should be created automaticly


McAfee should ask the user if a file changes to a degree that it needs new rights, but it doesn't with BF2. Don't know why, im no wizz, this just worked for me, after i have tried everything else. So im glad

Maybe this should be a sticky! Other personal firewalls may cause the same problem!

Odd that it doesn't detect it normally, and prompt you that it has changed, I know that my Sygate Personal Firewall does.
