Mouse craps out in the menu...WTF?

Just as it says. When it loads into the game (an actual server/game when you choose your kit and spawn point) I have no mouse. I have it it the menu, but not in game. I cant get into the game as I cannot select a kit or spawn point.

When I Alt-Tab out of windows, the mouse comes back. Ive tried rebooting, updating everything I can (mouse drivers, etc). Nothing. Any suggestions?

maybe it is this: go to ur control panel and make the mouse ur using the default one. maybe the comp is reading another default mouse tht u dont have.

I had the same problem as this... Quick and simple way to fix is :-

When in the Main BF2 Pannel i.e when you have mouse and keyboard usage , set all controls to Default then enter a server and re set your settings..

not sure why it does this buts its done it twice to me :hmm: ..

i had that problem once too, yeah going into the controls and resetting everything to default did it for me

I'm not sure why, but BF2 has a tendency to "lose" the bindings to keys, so if things stop responding, try reseting to the default before anything else.

Man, I was baffled when this started happening to me. Many thanks to you guys posting the simple fix of resetting to default - If I run into you on a server, I shall hold off killing you 3 times for this! :laugh:

I would not have thought to check that. When I looked at my controls, they were all blank. Every single control. I guess it's just one more stupid thing to dislike about this game.

I've had this problem..had to uninstall and reinstall the damn game to fix it - but I'm still a diehard BF2 fan. I'm EA's Pawn!
