    Any upgrade recommendations??

in my oppinion i have a decent pc but im looking to improve its game playing performance so if you can recommend any thing that would help my computer eg: more ram, better graphics card and so on. Here are my specs:

    Intel Pentium 4 3.4GHz 550
    1gb DDRZ-SDRAM
    400gb hard drive
    Nvidia GeForce 6200 256Mb Ram
    Windows XP Home
(i think thats all the important stuff)

The only thing worth upgrading is your graphics card. More ram wont hurt (1GB is considered the norm for BF2). Other wise you are good

Vid card; but rather, how much do you want to spend for upgrading?

You defenitely need new display adapter. Good Mid-level choice would be Nvidia 6800GT or ATI X800XL, both run BF2 nicely.

I thought you would say a new vid card. Could ou reccomend any that are not bank breakers but will serve me well over the next few years and i will be able to run all the latest games and stuff like that.

I would suggest a new video card, the eVGA GeForce 6800GT ... eVGA products are
used by the well known Tom's Hardware Guide (www.tomshardware.com) as the
references products when it comes to benchmarks ... If you review benchmarks
results on their site that feature NVidia video cards, they most likely used an eVGA
                      product for their tests ...

If you're from USA (US $$$):

If you're from Canada (Canadian $$$):

I would also upgrade to 2Gb of Ram ... but that's optional ...

Onboard soundcards aren't so bad anymore these days.

you might look into tweaking your system too:
