No one uses VOIP?

In practically 90 % of ranked servers i join no one uses VOIP. I really want to talk to my squad because it adds so much fun to the game but no one seems to have a mic. Geez they are only like 20 bucks why aren't you people buying them! I can understand if you are on Teamspeak and other things but I seem to be missing out with chatting with my squad. Anyone else feel like this?

lol this has been posted 4 times in the last 2 days, I for one am on TS. But the game is a whole lot more funner when your commmunicating with your teammates.

Most people have mics, they just assume no one else does and thus doesn't use VOIP.

If you want people to use it, be the first one yourself, youll be suprised that many others will join in when you ask them through VOIP if they have VOIP.

If that doesn't work, make a squad yourself calld VOIP that usually works too.

I also find that nobofy uses voip, i bought a whole new headset just because of it lol. But hey, its got amazing sound quality, so im not really bothered.

I find a lot of aussie servers using voip, good if you love here or new zealand....:)

Alot of the servers say they have VOIP but they don't. They either didn't install the VOIP server or botched the installation. I guess its a good way to save bandwidth. Advertise that you have comms then botch it so you don't and no one knows whats happening because they don't talk to people they meet randomly in squads (some paranoia food for you). I game with a couple friends and even when we try to talk to eachother in squads, we can't. It shows you're talking but no one else can hear you.

I was two feet away from an apc couldnt tell him to turn around, bull...!

If a player is within fifty feet and on your team, voice communication should be enable!


If he is not in your squad you can't talk to him, he is fricken two feet away from me gay, gay, gay!

It is now up to number 1 on my fix list!

I try to use VoIP all the time but I don't get no response. I am not sure whether it has been setted up or whether there is a problem. Not sure whether I have to fiddle about the sounds and devices settings. I recall someone had posted some configurations you have to do if it doesn't work but that was way back :\

20 bucks! Those are like 3 euros here in Finland:)

But what you said is true. I'd like to hear that VOIP communication even more. It just seems, that that doesn't work between me and my friends so we use other software for that. However, I've discussed with some Finnish and English guys via that in built VOIP so I have to assume that it works at least in some level. Volume of that thing is really low though, so I'd like that fixed in next patch. Just more scale to adjust your mic volume.
