Repair & Explosives.

Hey guys,
I am trying to get these two badges, and i know it should be easy but i just can not seem to get them. Can you help ?

I need 5 repair points in one round for the Repair badge, but whenever i try i seem to get around three or four, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of things to repair.

For the explosives badge i need to have 13 kills with c4, mines or claymore.

Any tips / help.

For the repair badge (probably the hardest of all the support badges because it takes time):

1) Hop in a chopper and sit in the #4,5,6 spots. Fix the chopper when it gets hit.
2) Play Strike at Karkand and tank whore. When hit, fix your pwn tank.
3) Fix commander buildings (Tip: Use a vehicle to get the building 'smoking' and then repair manually. It'll save a whole wrench rotation.)
4) Get in a vehicle and repair other vehicles (tanks and APC)
5) Don't repair humvees, buggies or jeeps and expect to get points quickly. FYI, you need to repair 80-85% of choppers just to get 1 point.

For explosives badge:

1) Play Strike at Karkand, and be a sniper.
2) Be USA and run into the alley, where the MEC spawns are and lay claymores.
3) It is risky, and you will die, but they will hit those claymores

or

4) Be spec ops
5) Load up your vehicle with C4 and go for suicide runs
6) Drive into busy areas. Jump out and BOOM!
7) Drive into tanks. Jump out and BOOM!

8) Be MEC and C4 around flags
9) Wait for them to come and BOOM!

10) Be an engineer and lay mines....

Well to tell you the truth for me to get the repair badge I blew up all of our arty, uav and scan and repaired them all (suicided and switched to engy) a few times i think twice or something because I am cheap and in order for me to get the Ordnance badge I will probably get a friend to let me kill him 13 times with c4 because I put 3 holes in my wall because I have gotten too godamn pissed off from being killed by ppl when trying to blow they up...So either you could be legit or whore them out...

I got my explosive badge from defending flags with C4. You would be surprised how many people dont see the c4 just laying around. If you can get a commander to listen to you, you can get supplies so you can camp the same flag the whole round.

As for the repair badge, I got in a buggy and followed around some AA and Tanks on Oilfields. Which took awhile to get a point or two. Then our arty when red, so I returned to the main base and kept fixing the arty. Some spec ops guy thought he'd be smart and keep blowing them. So I'd let him, then fix it right after he tasted my shotgun.

for the Repair Badge: Be engineer, get in a tank, press F2 (for .50 Gunner. as soon as you encounter enemy tank (or AT soldiers) get out, place yourself so the tank covers you from enemy, as soon as your tank gets hit, start repairing!

On a side note with C4...the funniest thing happened to me in game the other day. I was cruising along in my buggy into an enemy base (I was a medic) and I see an enemy APC sitting there. So I'm thinking Oh **** and drive right behind him, hop out and start throwing med packs on it. Well, the driver just saw someone throwing crap on his APC and thought it was C4 and bailed. So I proceeded to get in said APC and rape him and the rest of his team while I capped it, quite fun really :laugh:

Why are everyone saying repair badge is hard? I got it almost first time i played. The commander badge, thats a *****.

Repair badge isn't hard at all. Don't bother with the whole tank method or stat whoring method by the cheater above, here's a great way to get the badge:

Play a medium sized map like Songhua Stalemate and spawn near the blackhawk with an engy kit. Make sure there are a good number of people already aboard so that you don't end up on gunner. You should then be onboard and able to switch to your wrench. If you have a good crew(especially a good pilot), you can stay in the air for a very long time, and using your handy dandy wrench you can repair the chopper while you fly(very realistic!...sigh). Make sure to move the repair icon around if you find that you aren't healing any damage. I did this and got about 22 repair points in a single round and had about 77 total points all in one go. The biggest trick is finding a good crew.

The explosive badge, can't help you really. I've gotten I think 11 kills at most, though I haven't really sat down and tried to get this one hardcore. I would think Karkand would be a good choice. C4 the main entry ways as MEC, and then switch over to claymores as the map moves along.

The basic command badge?? Easy. Play as commander in SaK. Just don't get a teamkill. Done.

Exlpo. badge, easiest way is to load a buggy, FAV or whatever with C4, then drive it into enemies, you don't have to jump out and blow it up, if you the car itself dies, the C4 blows up, if you drive into a tank, and another tank kills your car, the tank your up to blows up

I got my explosives by loading a buggy with 5x c4, driving next to an enemy apc and getting out.

The apc was full, as was the blackhawk i saw approaching the landing pad next to the apc.

I decided to wait it out and see if i could get em both, and i did. The blackhawk was hovering over the apc and i detonated, got 6 kills from the blackhawk and at least four inside the apc, man i wish i had that on battlerecorder!

How sad, just to get a badge? Lowest form of life imo.

Explosives is easy, set 2-3 c4 on a flag and surrounding area, wait for a BH to come try take as they normally do then detonate ... tada 3-5 kills each time, or at least a single kill :)

Sorry, but I have to disagree - the Commander Badge is easier to get than the explosives, although I guess you have to be slightly lucky....you'll see why:

METHOD A
1. Be Commander.
2. Find somewhere quiet to hide.
3. If possible, play as Engineer and hide near Artillery, UAV, Radar etc. You CAN get your Repair Badge if you are lucky.
4. Get as many squads up and running as you can. If you can get some lone wolves to play as Special Ops in their own squads, so much the better.
5. Scan regularly and point out all enemy movement. TIP: Watch out for the lone soldier acting as a REMF somewhere - that'll be the enemy commander who you can vape with artillery.
6. When you see a cluster of enemy soldier near a base, hit UAV and then hit it with the artillery - it'll rack up points and kills.
7. Direct the Special Ops guys to destroy the Radar etc. THEY get points for following orders and I believe that you get Command points for them doing it.
8. If a squad disobeys your orders, get them to attack where they are going anyway. You get command points rather than frustration for being ignored.
9. Supply often.
10. Zoom in and spot Snipers. You will be loved for doing it.

METHOD B

As above except.
3. If possible, play as Anti-Tank. You CAN get your Repair Badge if you are lucky (see below).
11. Zoom right in where the enemy are defending and order artillery within a few screen inches of the tanks. Using this method you can get your Basic Anti-Tank Combat badge (http://www.totalbf2.com/strategy/badges/#basic) WITHOUT actually firing a shot at a tank - I know I did!

my record is 30 points as commander (60 with the bonus). But as ive been told the bonus doesn't count towards the badge.

Ive had my share struggling to get the explosives badge...tried everything - hiding in alleys looking to put c4 on tanks, setting up ambushes, flags, etc..always was short 4 or 3 kills at the end of round...then I tried suicide bombing and got my 13 kills in less than 10 minutes....

my strategy:

map Karkand, play for MEC..spawn at the middle flag near square (tall bulding), there will be VODNIK there...put c4 on both sides and drive to the USA resp..look for any amount of enemy soldiers, even if there is only 1...if you can get 1 kill per each death - you will have enough time to meet the requirement in one round...I was also able to blow up one M1 and Bradley by driving near by and exploding....

Got mine on Songhua Stalemate. Just kept laying mines between the flags in water where most action was. Got 2 to 5 kills most of the time, so it was pretty fast.
