    Defend

Why constantly attack/capture the next flag??
I have sometime the feeling that the two teams are running in circles.

    Try defend a flag,
it can be more effective and fun to
    Tip
That middle spawn in kubra dam!!

Really though.. it doesnt matter. Some people say you get more points capping flags. Not true.

    Neutralizing: 1 pt
    Capping: 2 pt
    Total: 3 pt

    Defending Flag: 1 pt
    Killing to defend: 2 pt
    Total: 3 pt

ANd if you kill more than one person, you get a lot more points....

Common sense aint so common these days.

Nice work, slick. Check your facts before you rebuke someone.

(Oke i am picturing Mashtuur City now.)

If you take a flag you can group tougheter and close the nemy in a corner and slaughter them, while if you defend they storm at a couple of your flags. But you need a fully loaded black hawk with commander support(scan, spotting, UAV) that checks the whole save area after you have cornered the enemy so they cant take any flags back, wich will tear the fight right open.

After the Black hawk with the help of the comander they can slaughter the cornered enemy and MORE IMPORTANT check that no enmey sneaks away and take flags(again commander and uav support)

Also its smart if a enemy breaks out big time, to prevent them from going to the farest bridge and a spec ops need to blow up the nearest bridges, then you need to close in them again and slaughter them.

So this is the reason why flag defending IS NOT SMART(unless of course the whole freaking enemy army is coming to that flag, in that case, call your buddies and defend)

you know i cant count the number of times i have been killed by a flag on one finger and still have spare. flags dont shoot back or call in their buddies for help.

Yes but enemy's noticing flag capturing proces will.

And the guy has a piont, mostly there are at least 2 to 3 ppl at flag, so just use Hand Grenade if you aint sure.
                So thats 9 points.

But pionts aint that important, you hold a a position, so you dont get overrun.
But with flag capture you move the front towards the nemy and close the enemy further in, so they are both as important.

no, points are important. the whole game is about points.
2-3 ppl at a flag? that 2-3 ppl who will want to shoot you. 1vs2-3. do the math. unless they are bad players and let you get the drop on them, you will die.
sure the enemy notice you capping their flags but by the time they show up you should be long gone.

If I'm lone wolf (which isn't that often) I have good luck defending flags and usually rack up a good amount of points that way. The thing is that some flags are more defendable than others. ( ex. Construction site in Gulf of Oman - Highly defendable/ Beach locations - not so much as a lone wolf).

So you really have to pick and choose which locations you're going to defend. It's a mix of benefiting the team and being effective at the same time.

                      *cough* Hand Grenade *cough*
Use that when you see the flag moving and its not positive for your team, alays use two hand grenades if your hear a kind of double au! but only get one kill, after the last grenade you throw immeditae storm in cause they are still disoriantated by the blast and hear PEEP and such, then they are easy to kill.
And play for fun, dont think of pionts after Lance Corporal, cause then you already have your unlock(unless you play more types, but i dont)

u can also use C4 in addition to grenades...that should handle a good # of infantry and at least one vehicle

There are most certainly times when defending a point is the best option (like, somebody mentioned, the construction site in Gulf of Oman) and other times when defending a site is futile (You're a medic in an open CP and Tanks are rolling in). For the most part, I'm more for going to capture the next flag ASAP so I can bring the fight to me because sometimes defending a flag can bring upon minutes of nothing, a period where you get no points and achieve little for your team, besides perhaps 'securing a point' However, like I said, defending a flag can be quite profitable to you and your team at times and when you have the oppurtunity to and rack up some points, I wouldn't give it up for a trek across the map to capture a lone flag.

                            Neautralizing is one point.

"You have received a neutralization point!"
"You have received points for capturing the flag!"

Something along those lines. But neutralizing is one... right?
