Leaving game when chips are down.

This has to be one of the most annoying things and problems around that I've noticed lately. You're playing on a Team and things are starting to go against you as the enemy start to make inroads into your bases, next thing you know, you're losing players left, right and center as they disconnect and leave the game. How dumb is this ?

Last night playing on 32 player map, Songhua Stalemate and was losing to the Chinese team and we go from 17 players to just 3 people left, defending the last two bases against 15 opposing players. Pretty hard task to do this as you can only stop them for so long and it eventuated in losing the game.

I can understand it if your connection drops out (as mine does at times), but to leave a game when you may lose or lose points, that's just cheap.

Wow, sounds a bit like Halo 2.

Luckily I've never experienced this. They all usually leave at the end of the round..and that blows cuz you've gotta find a diff. server or wait it out for more peeps to show.

I've played on a few servers where people will do that, they have this negative outlook and are like "We're gonna lose anyways so why try?" Wish people would make an effort to try even if the team is losing.

          I do it.

If I see that my team is a bunch of half ass losers, (often) I'll bail. The losing aspect isn't what bothers me. The new player, Rambo mentality with no skills, is what I'm tired of having to go into battle with.

Yes, and I hate that too. That is why I play CS though, when I feel like going into that rambo mode.

Some people just hate to be on the losing end of the stick. I'll stick around and accept the loss, but I'll only do it for a couple of maps...and we're talking being on a team with absolute morons who do not join squads or join squads, but still go lone ranger. If it goes on for more then 4-5 rounds for me, then I jump to a different server and it's not because of losing, it's beacuse some people just are absolutely clueless on the objective of BF2--Teamwork.

I don't really see the point. All your stats from that game are still calculated... Why not live it out and try to get whatever points you can out of it.

Because it's not all about points. I'll take a 50 point game with an awesome team that KNOWS HOW TO PLAY, over a 200 point game with a bunch of morons.

I'm serious when I say that. Most people would take the points, but with a good team you will improve your game and there is a lot less frustration.

I hate when the teams are stacked and people decide not to even them no matter how many times you bring it up. They just dont want to leave the winning team.

If it's the 2nd or third round and the team blows sometimes it's best to leave.
I'll stay in a losing game if the team has just had a bad round or two, but getting
into a bad team and repeatdly losing isn't fun. I do love when I get the high score
and I'm on the losing team.
