Sever dosnt recognise modified versions of BF2

Please help. I keep getting this mesage just before I am about to start playing that says this server does not allow modified versions of BF2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice without reinstalling the 1.2 patch and still get the same problem. I erased the 1.2 patch from my computer aswell.

Any suggestions?

Yah, patch to 1.02.

Select "same version only". The other issue is if you modified the videos so they didn't play, that can sometimes cause this as well.

Theres no fix for it m8 ... have you been playing on 1.02? If so why the install?

Well I just reinstalled without the patch and was playing it ok, still with all the sketchy bits thow. Then I turned it off and went to use the internet and the internet would not work. I uninstalled the game once again and as soon as it was uninstalled the internet worked again. This game can blow a f$#cking dick!
