Support Class is now worth it

When I first played support class I was really dissapointed in the performance of the machine guns, the biggest thing i had against it was the horrible accuracy it had. However with the huge increase in ranked servers I have been trying to get more and more points. I have noticed that more people have been playing medic to get points, so I went to the next best point maker, support!

I must say that I am loving support more and more. The machine is great when you jump into a Cp area, you never have to reload and tat that close range you do not have to worry about accuracy. At long ranges its not as great but I believe the PKM is the most accurate Support gun. Not only that everyone reloads and you can give a lot of ammo packs to people.

Well, I hated support untill I piked up a kit from a dead guy that had a PKM in it. Then, I fell in love with it. It is, by far, the best class ever.

I love support class even though i have never picked up the PKM. The guns are quite accurate proned and used with short fire bursts. Here's a site that shows weapon damage and accuracy levels etc.

I have to say the support class can be fun from time to time,I like being able to empty alot of rounds into about 5 enemies at close quarters with maps like Strike at Karkland. When Im playing medic,I use up mad ammo so its always nice to have a support guy following me.

Yep, The PKM makes it a worthwhile experience, despite the fact that it has a slower rofpm than the M229SAW. The larger bullets make up for this, along with the fact that two-three shots on anybody at a distance will have them pushing up daisies.

It'll also take out enemy light vehicles and make any hovering Helo capper think twice before trying it again.

The PKM rocks... The SAW and the Chinese equivalent, suck big time IMO.. Which is why i opted to unlock the PKM. I like supplying ammo, and i find that when i am not playing support, it is hard to find someone who is playing support. And i like to have ammo to burn.

I love the big machine guns purely for the fact that you can just lie down and start firing, and pretty much keep firing until all the baddies are dead. Yes it's useless at long range, but that's not what it's for. It's for sitting on a hill just next to the flag and blazing away for minutes on end, keeping people occupied or making them very dead.

It's also a great weapon for making helos think twice about hanging around, as they watch their health bar start sinking at a steady rate and they cant find where the hell you are. My current favourite hobby is to spawn at the northern-most hilltop spawn in Dragon Valley, the one with the little pagoda, and then start chuggning away at the deck of the USS Essex off in the distance. You cause much consternation, and as the choppers and planes take off and come past you can do a deal of damage to them before they've even made it to the battle. Hide in the trees to the left and repeat....

The whole trick is getting a good firing positoin, that can be damn hard on some maps without hanging your butt way out for the enemy to shoot it off.

Yes you get unlimited ammo, but you move a lot slower and it takes a while to recharge your nades. Ammo giving points for the win.

with this unlock bug ive had the chace to try it out and the pkm was by far the otherb est gun id tryed (Medic is the best) i was impressed with what the pkm could do apart from me getting killed before i could get a good shot i liked it!

I have been getting sick of being a medic as its played out now and I never really cared about points but thats why everyone does it and I dont want to be classed as that. But support troops look the best and if you are playing as MEC they dont really have many nice guns as im sick of them all anyway but the RPK is nice to have.

I managed to pick up a PKM off someone not knowing and it is so accurate i was prone and i took out like 6 people in a row and i think its 12.5 mm rounds so it has high damage, i may unlock it next. To think it was going to be my second to last unlock :/.
