Network

I reformated my main computer and I need to re-establish the network I had before I reformated. The network is made up of my Step-Dad's computer, my main computer and hub (where the cable modem is connected to). Usually when I reformatted I would just do the network wizard on both computers to make it go up and running again so I could get internet support. HOWEVER! My step-dad's computer is broken at the moment and it is not up. Is there a way I can re-establish the network? I have tried the network wizard and when I chose the option that says I do not need to run the wizard on other computers it never works... Help?

Also I am running Windows XP.

Well if your step-dads computer is broken, then it won't show up on the network, until it is fixed and on the network again.

It sounds like your network goes through a single computer and thats not a very efficiant way to go, unless you're using a server. I'd say the best way to get your network going again is to get a Router, be it Linksys or Netgear, and use DHCP and when you set the router correct you won't need to use the XP network wizard.
