Server Rental Suggestions

I live in Minneapolis (midwest) and would like to rent a server primarily so I can have a reliable, low-ping server to play on and perhaps form a clan of my own.

1.) Is it reasonable to think that I can achieve consistent ping levels if I find a 'local' server to rent?

2.) Does anyone have any suggestions as to who/where can I rent a decent server - what makes a server 'decent' or 'good'?

I apologize for my ignorance. I am a relative "noob" and will evolve over time.

You should be able to find someone with servers in Chicago that'd give u a low ping. Just make sure you play on some of there existing servers before making a decision.

I'd recommend the people we use, but they're in LA & Houston.
