Does the amount of RAM really effect the games proformance? I've got 512MB RAM, with a radeon 9800 pro 128mb and the game runs okay most of the time apart from 10 seconds when the game starts, I'm wondering whether I should buy a gig though, if i do can i have both of the sticks in at the same time, so i'll have 1.5 gig or will I have to replace the 512 with a gig?
Thanks for any replys
if you upgrade by 1gb you will certainly see a improvement in your pc's performance, i used to have 512mb then i upped to 1gb now im at 2gb (motherborad only takes 2 sticks). if i could have more i would.
you will be able to run both your existing & new stick together as long as you get the same type of ram. ive got 2 stick's of 1gb PC3200 DDR
I agree, 1GB is nice. You need another 512 module that matches your exact one. Call your memory manufacture, and see if they can send you another 512 module with the exact model number AND revision number.
