Damn straight, I can't stand the mouse, you can't pull up fast enough, with the keyboard you just hold it down, don't need to keep slamming the mouse agaisn't the pad in order to pull down again so your plane/heli can pull up.

I have tried out a joystick for BF2. And it just is not my cup of tea. I can do pretty good with heli without it. But hell i put it on their and right away i was annoyed that i had to move from my keyboard to it and vice versa. I dont like it and personally ILL STICK TO MY MOUSE AND KEYBOARD....

Joysticks are crap for jets, i use a momo force feedback steering wheel for everything in the game.

cept jets and copters, i go with microsh!t wheel for them.

Joystick + Jet/Heli = Mega Pwnag3. Infact, I'm thinking about using my joy for tanks because of my earlier obsession with Mechwarrior 4 in which I pwned using a Joystick.

I just read a review of the saitek joystick on Amazon.co.uk

''I got this stick because it looked great and the reviews were positive. However, when i got this stick i found a darker side to it. When the joystick is left in the centre it actually drifts in a direction. Many owners have this problem, and even with the newest drivers and attempted fixes it still doesnt work. using deadzones, re-calibrations tools, it stilll doesnt work right. So stear clean of this stick!''

Would users of the product agree with this?

Yes, the joystick might help you more since it`s easier to use.

I've been using a joystick for years now, and I have some flight training. I also work as a Technician at a Flight School so I get to fly every so often and I get to fly the simulators as well. Basically when you have that much pratise you get good, so to get discouraged when you first try out a joystick because you may be up against others with pratice similar to mine. It a completly different feel from the kb/m so it just takes some getting used to. I guarantee you though, once you get used to the joystick, you will never look back, and with some practise, you will be able to get your targets with much greater efficincy. I have had guys on the other team complain that I was killing them too much because of my accuracy with the stick. My suggestion is to get a stick, and practise.

Also, if you ever need some help learning to fly, just give me a message and we can start up a server.

I had that problem, went to Saiekusa.com and looked for help. Did what they said and all is fine now.

If you don't have a joystick, take the bomber.

why do you people use the mouse???? thats retarded, it sucks, the keyboard is the way to go for sure. its able to hold a continous turn or pull up without stopping, so idk about you but im not wasting 50 bucks on a stupid joystick. ill pwn any joystick commando with my keyboard.

Ive been flying with just the keyboard since 1942 ._. I didnt think anyone would use the mouse unless they were masochistic.

I have a sorta old Logitech Wingman game pad,it did have a throttle function for airplanes but it got broken off. But I still have lots of fun with this. I use the left analog to pull up,go down, roll etc, I use the two top buttons for rudders. And aligned the buttons on the right side for throttle, no throttle, fire 1, fire 2 etc. Id say if you have trouble with a joystick, try out a gamepad.
