did any one find any reviews on all AMD X2 chips? for example 4200 VS 4400 VS 4600 VS 4800. All i can find is 4200 and 4800 VS Pentium D, Pentium extream edition and other random singlecores.

I dont have them on me at the moment but from what Ive read the X2s are the fastest cores on the market now, so long as you can warrent the cost
Look for Pentium D or Pentium 840 vs AMD X2.

I've heard like always that the AMD dual cores own in gaming over the Intel, but Intel takes advantage w/ multi-tasking.

False KillSwitch. According to all the benchmarks I have seen, AMD's dual core is better in ALL aspects.

yes AMD is not just slightly better but it crushes Intel in almost all tests. X2 4800 even outperformed FX55, which is 200mhz faster in most games. THese are awsome CPUs and i know they are very fast. I want a CPU that would not only be futureproof but also not be much slower than FX55 in games that i wanted to get before. However the 4800 does cost $200 than FX55 so i would like to know how much performance i would loose going down to 4600( with 512k less L2 cache) or even to 4400 (200MHZ slower but 1mb of L2 cache)

Not much, in all honest the 4400 and even the 4200 would be more then enough for most machines. Slap that along with 7800GTX's in SLI formation, and you have a machine that will be unstoppable.

Yeah, and be prepared to fork over $2000 dollars as well. If I ever win the lottery, I am spending as much as I can on a new rig.

I custom configured a total rig with the following specs:
AMD Athlon64x2 4800+
2GB Corsair DDR400 Low Latency (2-2-2-5)
Abit F4tal1ty Mobo
2 - PNY 7800GTXs
Audigy2 ZS Plat. Pro
DVD-RW drive
ThermalTake Xraser III case
520 Watt PSU (forget which one)
23" Sony LCD w/16ms response
74GB WD Raptor 10k RPM 8Mb Cache
Glowing Keyboard
Laser Mouse
Gigaworks 700watt 7.1 Surround
Total was like $3500 or something.

That is a review of the 4800+. I know that is the most expensive one right now, but the 4400 is the exact same as the 4800+ except for a 200mhz decrease. It has a larger cache than both the 4200 and the 4600 and it easily overclocks. I'd suggest buying the 4400 and then just overclocking 200mhz.
