The M-249(SAW) has a CoF that is just HUGE....Its not actually that inaccurate...I do understand the fact that well...in BF:V the M-60 was just too accurate, but they could make the M-249 abit more accurate in this since you can't hope to "suppress" any enemy when you can't even hit the wall hes hiding behind. Not to mention you can't actually suppress any ground troops in this because theres atleast 2 or more ways to exit the area. Whenever someone starts shooting the support weapon at me I just usally throw a frag in that general direction and once it explodes they are usally dead or in shellshock and easy to run away....and if you time it right you can catch them reloading or overheating if its a noob.

agreed and also with medics it really anoys me when i'm running after them screeming out "medic" or "ammo" come on if u are a med or support check your spin map when you someone calling out for something

it's not all about hitting things with that gun its about suppresive fire so ur team mates or squad can move forward while the enemies head is down. Then your team mates cover you so you can move forward. Works really well if used like that, i find anyway.

suppresing fire works by encouraging the enemy to keep their heads down so they dont get shot. as soon as they realise you are support they just charge because they know there is no way you can kill them before they kill you.

All it takes is practice. I used to hate the Assault Class with a passion because I couldn't hit anything. But with some hard work and persiveriance, I can now easily take down whold squads (And have done so) with my trusty "Inaccurate" PKM. As for the Supports who don't give ammo, they are asshats. I'm one of those guys who run around and give ammo wether you need it or not.

dont have the pkm, thats next unlock. i have had many hours of play as support standard weapons for all 3 armies and i know that beyond 40-50meters i have a hard time hitting anything.

I don't see what the problem is with all the hate towards the Support weapons - I rank up more points with the M249 SAW than I do with the L8 that I unlocked. Only downside is being prone is an absolute must, but after you use them a bit its awesome and a huge advantage not having to reload every 2 seconds. I'd take a support gun over any assault gun.

I must say its completly inaccurate no matter what. I was STANDING IN FRONT OF A GUY and he killed me first.......which is physically NOT possible. I had the M-249 and was standing no more than 2-3 feet from him just shooting and he killed me after almost his whole clip was emptied....I don't see how that is possible since well its not like the barrel is pointing right at him, I mean its not like the bullet comes out of the barrel and then says "hey I think I'll turn left right here" and then go at another angle than stright in the direction I'm pointing. With the way that the CoF is it seems like bullets go anywhere BUT stright with the AR's in support class. Thats why I use my L-85 since atleast with that I can be in CQC with someone and still have a chance.

i used to play medic and just keep my bag out and drop it every few yards but i noticed that many medics dont do this they just run around get shot and use the bag to heal themselves instead of their team8s i play support alot now and i do the same thing but i noticed that support playes barely even drop the bags. but its way sweet cause if u drop bags everywhere u just keep getting ammo points it boost ya score a tad.

Thats why you join a clan, so you don't have to worry about people that arn't TeamPlayers....
I know that sometimes people are entitled to go do their own thing, but nothing stops them from pressing 5, fire, 3 then w...you can do it everso easily and its not like your at a loss when you do it because it for 1: recharges and 2: gives you points...only fagtards don't do it.

Now let me get this straight, when you have the SAW, you are also the ammo runner? If I missed anybody, it was through lack of knowledge not on purpose. I know I've run out of ammo plenty of times and had to run back to the nearest control point.

geez guys my main kit is the support ive gone like 40 and 7 with the kit on karkand. The support weapon dosent need to be fixed its fine. u just got to learn to use it.

I always play support and in EVERY single round I get highest resupply.

The reason is, I always throw around ammo. Every time i see a soldier, I give them ammo even if they don't ask.

Although I wouldn't mind if they would allow you to drop the bipod and get Mounted MG accuracy, sacrificing the ability to move

I too play support quite a bit, although Anti-tank is my primary. DOA-12 is a nice weapon in cities. I digress. I will agree support rifle is not the most accurate pice of hardware in the game, but i like the suppression factor. Saved me loads of deaths when i see a bunch of teammates running towards my location and then i see 2 squads from enemy moving in and i jsut start laying waste. I usually get at least one not through skill, but mostly luck it seems.

Droppin bags is a must. I drop them every where. Like little rabbits turds eveywhere. LOL!! BUt anywho, it alot of fun, frustrating at times when all i sem to do is die...alot...but like tha=ey always say.."It is war!! When death smiles at you, all you can do is smile back"
