Last version of Djuice`s BF2_RealismMod 2.8

at page 4 on the sticky thread about the BF2_Realism Mini Mod 2.8 you will find the downloads

its the BF2_Realism Mod 2.8 from Djuice, I have heard people liking it and giving it a chance hosting

installation notes

unpack the zip into your mods folder of BF2...then it should appear with BF2_Realism and there should be the original BF2 mod folder in the same main mod folder

then goto the original BF2 folder...to folder levels and copy and paste all maps from there into the new mod into the folder levels of the mod(you could use the bat file that is already in the levels folder of the mod for autocopy...but i haven`t tried that out, i prefer doing it manually)

if you have done this look into the folder of the mod...there is a .bat file to start the mod....if you do not have it already on desktop start it from there

you cannot join server over the original start game, you must start with this bat file....you will see that there is a mod loading instead of the original game

then you should know which button is responsible for the server list browser ( 2nd. above )

write in Predators to have it listed or join with IP instead of



server name actually

unfortunately i cannot login the server with version 2.8, version 2.6 has been running fine...no idea about the reasons...I will now resinstall version 2.6 on the server to checkout if its still working like yesterday...if yes then there is a problem with 2.8 + MP...

again the things you may not forget...i am on the server and its running well fo me

care about
a) version 2.8 (do not overwrite old version, delete old and install new version

b) copy the levels (maps) into the level folder of the mod

c) start the mod with the bf2_realism.bat

d) delete any shortcut of the old version...make a new shortcut

e) if you still got problems delete that levels.md5 file and try again

f) if its still not working only the firewall could be the problem

still not working...then probatly EA and Dice are doing a good job to sell more ranked servers...i am tired of this game already....some people can join some not...no matter if full mod or serversided...its customer unfriendly EA...no wonder that Novalogic got them as partners and finally will die out of the PC market going into the console market ....(there you must not care any independent hosts or modders)

Well thats interesting cause I just tried to connect. And by all means it wouldnt let me. Kept giving me a debug error. now I know its not me for the reason I can go onto Sir Communities server for BF2_Realism without any problem WHAT SO EVER! So I think something still needs to be fixed.

probatly....i can get on it without a problem...but the same happened on server sided changes for other clients...some may join and some not.......mabye its a problem with the servers OS...windows 2 k ?

yeah so would I. recommend puttin WinXPpro on that machine and taking off that 2k sheet.

forget it , i play play the mod in Single player mate...


i have been reloading the original game on the server because i am tired of problems....one can join and the other not...same like with mcice and the server sided mod...its simply unstable...

i think...if the original game is running well on w2k without that problem...why with a mod???? Is not very logically to me...but possible...i am just tired now and let it be...but anyway...trying is better then doing nothing
