More problems on this end

Yay more problems for me........ok heres the deal. Quite often after a game ends my game crashes to my desktop. normally i wouldnt care but the thing that bothers me is that it automatically switches my screen resolution to 800x600 and switches it to 4-bit color. the funny thing is that you can even selct 4-bit color unless this happens. Its easy repaired by simply switching the settings back in my desktop controls. The only problem is it pisses me off because its so annoying and i can anticipate when its gonna happen cause it happens every time a game ends in a server i have texture problems in. Am i the only one that has this problem along with the texture problems? BTW: by texture problems i mean textures on the plants and ground turn all black except for tire markings and people. I'd like to fix both cause its really annoying and hurts my eyes. heres my system specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
ATI Radeon 9600 SE 128mb
1.5 gigs of ram

Or try re-installing your video and sound drivers. If that doesn't fix it, re-install DirectX 9.0c.

my sound card drivers are soundmax from asus cause the onboard sound is card quality and ive even tried downgrading my catalyst drivers to 5.6 and i still get problems. god thats a long wait till the next patch.

Did you clean your old video drivers before installing the new ones? And I know that most onboard sound is "card quality" but that isn't the issue. The drivers still need to be up to date to avoid and conflicts.
