Audigy 2 VOIP feedback (not echo)

Ive searched hi and low looking for the solution or mix of arangements that would kill the horrible feedback Im getting from my Audigy 2 ZS sound card. Its precluding me from using VOIP of any kind. Im using headphones with a separate mic. Im plugging dirrectly into my audigy and even tried plugging my headphones to my speakers separate port, neither of which worked. I hear everyone fine on VOIP, and everyone hears me in all my feedbacked glory =\

Im currently using the beta drivers both mentioned in the forums here and in the Tweek guide.

    Thoughts?

    From the "readme" file........

    - CREATIVE AUDIGY 2
Users of the Creatve Audigy 2, that wish to play with the Microphone
Boost option on, may find that this setting is not saved when
previously enabled in Battlefield 2. Resolve this issue by using the
Windows Volume Control to enable Microphone Boost.

    VoIP [BattleCommo]
Some soundcards might transmit static even when there is no
    microphone attached.
This may cause the game to behave as if there was a microphone
attached – the BattleCommo icon will become visible, and muted.
To solve this, set the BattleCom Transmit Threshold in the Menu
    to the highest possible value.

    USB HEADSET
    - If your USB headset becomes unplugged during play sound may not be
    restored when you reconnect it.
If this occurs you must restart Battlefield 2 with the USB headset
    connected.
    - Unplugging or plugging in a USB headset while Battlefield 2 is
starting up can cause undesired effects. We recommend that you only
plug in or unplug USB headsets while Battlefield 2 is not running.

    I hope this helps

Thanks for the help so far but the problems arent described there =\ Im considering just getting a dedicated USB mic and seing if that aleviates the problem as it will bypass the audigy card itself. Thanks so far though

Try cleaning the plug on the mic off. The only other thing I can think of that could cause this, is possible interference in the line. Do you have another mic to test it out?
