Clarify the requirements of the expert knife badge please

In Strike at Karkand, I had 19 knife kills but I didn't get the badge. At first I thought I didn't meet my global score requirements so I checked during the middle of the game. My total global score for kinfe kills was 100, meeting the requriement of the knife badge, but I didn't get it! After the round, my global knife kills increased from 100 to 119, confirming I did get 19 knife kills from the last round.

The strategy listed in totalbf2 states that you need 100 global knife kills and 18 kinfe kills in one round. I exeeded those and yet I haven't got this badge. So, any explaniations?

Yes you are correct this happened with the expert pistol badge aswell its not 100 global kills its 250 since thats when i got my expert and i could avg 20 a round..

I raped the MEC with F-15 and did some surprise flag captures. Tickets rarely bled since this was the "Get all flags to start bleed" type of Conquest so each side had to kill their enemy to 0.

Yes you are correct this happened with the expert pistol badge aswell its not 100 global kills its 250 since thats when i got my expert and i could avg 20 a round..

Anyway, about the knife badge, I've a theory. Basically, it seems that, at times, you’re no longer connected to your account while playing. For example, in a game earlier, I no longer had my medic unlock. I think a similar thing happened here. Since the connection to your account was broken, it didn't recognize that you had the 100-kills needed. Ergo, no badge.

The test: In the round you attempted this, were your unlocks available?

Most of my kills were of course ground targets. However, it's how you use those bombs that will achieve very high kills. Here are my rules:

1. Never carpet bomb a flag or area unless:
-You KNOW there are targets in the area
-It's the only flag your enemies have (JACKPOT!!!)
2. When a flag is neutralized by your enemy, forget everything and bomb that flag, you'll get a kill or more and you just helped out your team.
3. When a flag has your teammates (even if there's one) and huge number of potential targets, do not bomb, it takes 2 kills to compensate a TK which isn't a good risk.
4. Look out for armors, your bomb HUD detects them, easy to kill, big juicy and fat, and supports your team. Also:
-When a teammate calls out hostile armor, forget what you were doing and quickly bomb the target.
5. When a helicopter is trying to cap a flag, don't use missles, humiliate it by using your bombs, you got 5 of them.
6. Get used to using your vulcan, this weapon can destroy stinger sites, APCs, and mobile AA quite easily.
