Server Lag is doing my head in!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to this game but already i'm hooked! The problem is when playing online I find that the game always lags! I'm running on a 2mb broadband and I thought that it would be sufficient enough to run the game smoothly!

The internet is on a wireless network so there may be some lag due to that, any Ideas why I'm getting so much lag? My friend gets the same problem and he's running on a 8mb connection.

When I press the tab key it shows me everyones connection rate (i think!!! lol) and mines always at around 20bps when other peoples are over 100!

Is there anything I can do to sort this out?

Also a quick question! I see that a lot of you have all of your stats at the bottom as your signatures, how do I get this? I don't have gamespy running as I'm worried that they can see the copied games I have in use!!!! BF2 is original tho, as I had to play the game oline or whats the point!! lol

Line the inside of your PC case with tinfoil if you don't want Gamespy to see the illegal games you have installed. As for the lag, hopefully the netcode and gamecode ingeneral will improve over the next couple of months once a few patches are out. Other than that, try finding local servers.

So game spy will find any dodgey software and games i've got in my computer even if it's not registered? :cry:
