Sudden lag I have newest PB?!

Heyas,

I've been playing the game for a while and practically every time I play on a server I can play great on medium and such. But once in a while I get Connection problem. When this happens I usually get back to the server list.

I usually play on 64 players servers--high player servers because thats much more fun (More chaos and such )

Anyway--I saw that many people have this problem while searching and usually it was said to update PunkBuster. Well I did this last night...I downloaded from the website 3 .htm files into the correct folders and I ran another Punkbuster .exe program that updates PB...

Well I still have the same problem!
I have wireless cable (RoadRunner) but It seems to boot me really fast saying connection to server was lost...

What to do?!

Wireless cable, how strong is the wireless signal, also your playing on 64 player servers on CABLE, they need at least a 2MB connction to be lag free.

Well currently it says "Very Good" At 11mbps

Then I guess I'll have to play in smaller servers?
If I change the overall quality to Low would it have a difference at all?

Well technically, the 64 player mode is for LAN only, 32 online. But 64 online is possible, but like was said before, it has to be a beefy server, on an even beefier connection.

Well actually the place that I will be moving will have a gigabit ethernet backbone so they might have a bf2 server...

Other then that, I guess I can play on 32 player servers :) I usually went for the 64 player ones, Ill try that--Thanks!

I had the same issue too, I have searched the moon and the stars getting better fps in game. Just try to avoid those 64 player ranked servers.. I get some lag spikes when in those, But if Im in a 32 man Ranked server.. My fps is "Jammin"..

lol Well I guess that's what I'll do :)
I just hope that it won't happen anymore in small maps... I mean whenever the lag happens I can usually see on the map those dots moving around and such. It's just that I cant move :P

Anyway... For some reason my cable connection is dead (currently on dialup) And when it comes back...34 player server it is! :)

Anyways...Thanks! If that has lag spikes then I'll try 16 and If that has lag spikes I'll post again :P
