    sound (mic) issues

win XP, soundblaster aud 2 plat ed., mic works fine in any other game

I have the newest patch for bf2.

Well, I try to test my mic using the ingame test and it sounds fine. When i join a server though, all of those options in audio are greyed out(this might always be the case but im not sure).

Oh and im in a server that allows VOIP. :)

When im in a squad and hit my mic bind the green icon is displayed but no one can hear anything. If im not in a squad no icon is displayed and no one can hear anything.

I emailed EA support but i doubt that will help.

    Any suggestions?

Try this: Start-Run: dxdiag, hit the audio tab and knock the acceloration down to basic. Ive heard that works. Good luck =)

BTW do you know how to get case audio ports to work with Audigy 2ZS?

U mean like the little handy ports they put on the front of the case?

I heard you cant, well thats what abs told me. But if you find out let me know. I believe they are for onboard sound only.

They are for onboard sound. I don't know of a sound card that has extra pins on it to support front audio.

You'd think so eh? Pick up a standard headphone jack splitter at Radio Shack. Thats what I did, I now have both my headset and speakers running off of my Audigy2.
