    Router help with BF2

    Guys im haivng a problem with my router and BF2... Some times it wontl et me connect and etc. i think its because of the firewall that is through the router
    if anybody can send mei nstructions... and help me with my problem with my netgear router, it would be really help ful.. I think i need a static IP address.. or do port forwarding or something...
    S.O.S. Please help... im thanking you guys in advance.. if i get help :cry:

    BF2 doesn't require port forwarding. Also check to make sure your firewall on your computer isn't set too high. I have my Linksys router set to DHCP because I have other computers on my network, but if you don't then I do suggest static IP.

    You shouldn't need a VPN, but it might help.

      What router do you use? I've got a Netgear WGT624 v2 with a WG311T wireless card. I've never had any dramas connecting (apart from the "there is a problem with your connection" in game - ugh!). You might try upgrading your firmware...

          BF2 requires NO portforwarding what so ever, just make sure your perconal firewall software is not set at maximum cause it might not let outgoing traffic.
