As though that test shows its really unstable, i dont have any of those crash problems except once in a while when I go into a linux server, in wich after each round i return to the browser.

      On a side note;

Each PC was tested using Unreal Tournament 2004 after the BF2 tests..

I did not go through several games of each PC, just 1 entire game.. but
all 4 PCs operated perfectly, without a glitch for UT2004..

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I think its safe to say, without question, BF2 is the most unstable game
I have ever installed/played. Sure it is new, using newer game engine,
etc. However, this doesnt matter to the common customer purchasing
this game. They just want it to work...

Having said that, the gameplay itself IS awesome.. fun as hell to play,
its just sad that the game is so unstable for MANY customers.

Troubleshooting a game like this can be a nightmare..I dont claim to have
the 'BEST' equipment.. Nor would I put my machines up against higher
dollar parts in a benchmark.. but the PCs I use are easily capable of
handling BF2, IF, and that is a big IF, the game was stable enough to
begin with.. I play many other games, never had problems such as these.

yeah, this test seems kind of bogus. . .either you haven't done ANYTHING towrds trying to fix your problem, or the numbers are stacked

i've crashed 1-2 times since i started playing (little under 2 weeks ago)

Yeah I've actually never had the game crash for me so far just pray it stays that way. I've just had other issues with fps and such.

                  I am running the game on a P4 2 Ghz, 1Gig Ram, 9600 Radeon,
and it is very VERY unreliable. I just went through updating every last piece of hardware in my machine, flashed my Bios, then reinstalled the game for the third (or was it fifth) time.

Without the patch the game runs, though crashing rather regularly. Installing the patch is just an utter nightmare. NOTHING works anymore, I load the game succesfully (both the play and the Online shortcuts) But when clicming anything in the menu (Multi/Single Play) The game crashes, I am uninstalling the game then reinstalling without the Patch again now. Hoping that a few servers will stay unpatched for the time being. I wrote to the EA support, but we all know where that is leading...NOWHERE. SO if anyone has any ideas let me know...

Lets see.. havent done ANYTHING? Buddy, I would consider installing
this game on 5-6 PCs using 4 differant video cards SOMETHING.

You yourself say youve had the game crash 1-2 times? You trying to
flame me, but yet make my point for me at the same time? Thanks!

The point Im trying to make is, that with ALL these posts on who is
using what, what pc, what vid card, what memory, it really doesnt
matter.. The game is unstable at just about ANY level. If my accounting
software crashed 1-2 times (like you say you BF2 has..) that would
be enough for me to get NEW SOFTWARE.. simple as that. Just using
                    these tests as an example..

If I do as EA suggests, and nothing more.. (minimum specs; which ALL my
machines meet, AND updated video drivers, which ALL my machines meet..)
this is NOT enough to have this game run stable.. What else should a
paying customer have to do ?
