*Joystick and Control Problems*

1. I'm trying to set up my controls just like they were in BF1942 but BF2 keeps saying that there are conflicts. Example: I want to use the right mouse button to reload as infantry but it complains that that button is also used for land vehicles' alternate fire. BF1942 didn't care but BF2 won't let me.

I could reassign the tank's machine gun to another button but I'd really like to have it as mouse 2 and still use mouse 2 to reload...I should be able to right?

2. I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme and it works great for other games, inlcuding BF1942. I try to use it with BF2 and it reverses certain controls with Jets and Helocopters again and again. The pitch is always reversed with jets but the throttle, yaw, and rolling work ok. With Helocopters, the throttle is always reversed, as is the pitch, but the yaw and rolling are as they should be.

I've reassigned them 3 times and all 3 times I wind up crashing because my controls are screwed up. I even tried clicking on "invert mouse" but it didn't help. I tried the drivers from the CD and the latest drivers from Logitech, no luck.

Any suggestions?

for remapping issues, there is a master file
(whose name I cannot recall)
that lists all the key mappings that are not available to you in the setup page
you can edit it by hand
(eg using wordpad)
