i am currently experiencing "stuttering" while playing on line but not in single player. My ping also varies from 100 to 400. I used to play this lag free (around 20-30 ping) stutter free for the first week of my new comps life. I PINGED the server i usually play on and i got average 20 MS with 0% packet loss, so that pretty much eliminates my ISP. My system is:
intel 3.2
1gig ram 677 hz
nvidia 6800 pci-e
creative 2 5.1 sound card
This problem also happends in Planetside and it just started last week. My comp is 2 week s old. I have tried DLing drivers, etc. to no avail.
So my question is, i have 1 gig in my old comp but the ram is 500hz or something, slower then the new RAM. I know that if i install this ram then the RAM will run at the slowest speed. Do you think this will fix my online "stuttering" or is there another fix that me nor the dell techy couldnt fix out there, or should i leave my RAM at 1gig 677 zh. This will put my ram at 2gig.
