Fraps laggin

Hey, I was just downloaded fraps (demo) from fraps.com and started it pressed at F9 in game. The whole **** lagged up and my FPS where at 4! What happend?
How much FPS shall i use`? BTW it lagged in Windows media player 2!

fraps normally uses 30-40 fps in games....plus to keep a game fairly steady you need to have about 30 fps, so if you add it up you need about 70-80fps on average(w/o fraps on) to be able to use fraps without lagging. Thats a rule of thumb that I use.

Idk how you have Win. Media Player 2 since its at 10 right now, but anyways it will lag because fraps recorded at about 10 fps....so it will look laggy

1. I set it to 70 fps!
2. I meant that it laged when i played it in Media player 2 means to u know!
3. Aint workin anyway
4. Might be that i ahve it on 1024*768 80 HZ???

Try recording at 30 fps. When you set it at 70 fps it's trying to record but your pc may not be able to handle 70 fps, so i would try lowering it and that should work. :)
