I currently have the ati radeon x700 pro video card and i am runnig everything on high except texture an lighting on medium. I am also using 6x AA. it runs smooth after the stuttering gets done a few minutes after map load but i want more. I want textures on high. when i do put textures on high i turn dynamic shadows on low and can play somewhat fast, with a few freeze ups and lag when in battle, but its not fast enuff to beable to stand. I have 512 mb ddr sram, emachine3000+, 160 gb SATA hardrive, 333mhz with the x700 pro. I am wondering if i buy another 512 mb of ram if i it will help enuff where i can play with textures on high (keeping dynamic shadows on med/high) where i could run smooth and not lag or freeze up. i know the basics of computers and some vide cards so plz dont reply in the advanced computer talk tat i cant understand/ lol ty. PLZ HELP I HAVE TO HAVE TO RUN EVERYTHING ON HIGH FOR MY BROTHER HAS A GATEWAY 830 WITH X800XT PCI EXPRESS WHERE HE RUNS EVERYTHING MAXED OUT AND IT LOOKS GREAT AND PUTS MINE TO SHAME WITH ALL HIGH SWETTINGS BUT LIGHTING AND TEX. all i want is to be able to put tex on high and getting a good fps and no lag. and im not looking to spend a fortune and i cant buy a new vid card cuz i just got the x700pro a few weeks ago.
