    $588USD to spend

I need both a monitor (i'd prefer a CRT) and video card PCI-E(I'd prefer ati)... could anyone give me some links on what I should get. I'm buying on newegg.com so give the links to there please.

P.S. I might be able to spend a little bit more like 600 or so

Why CRT? I notice way way better image quality since going to an LCD.

When I bought my LCD the picture quality was so much better it was almost like buying a new graphics card. This one is a great value for the money:

Then you'd still have the cash left over for a decent video card.

Well, for like $625 you can get that monitor and a 6800gt, thats my advice

I'd take a TFT over my CRT.

I am using my mates TFT right now, its gorgeous. its a 17 inch with as much viewing area as my 21 inch crt.

I wonder what a 21 inch tft is like!

Yeah, I'm using that BenQ monitor that I linked earlier, you would not be disappointed a bit with its quality and performance!

ATI's pci-e are more expensive, the 6800GT will provide you with plenty of power. And just so you're aware, you need to have a PCI-E slot on your computers motherboard.

                          That being said:
