How much AA do you have right now?

Dude, no offense, but if you find it hard to beleive that people run it on less than 6x aa you have got some probs. Not everyone can afford the hardware to make it run on even 4x aa.

i have 4x with a P4 3.4 2 CPUs, 512 ram, GeForce FX Go5700. cant wait to get the rig in my sig on tuesday.

how do you get 6x, i dont have it as an option,

you shouldn't be upgrading anything but your vid card and ram. if it's not in option on the vid menu i believe u can edit it in the video.con file to get it.

i run bf2 with Full AA turned on, i'm sure it gives me a bit of a slowdown, but i don't have any FPS issues with this game (save maybe a second or two of chop when i just get into a freshly loaded map) so i don't mind at all

how the hell do you guys use AA??? Anytime i try to use it .. for ANYTHING.. the system goes to hell...

AA is always a torn issue for me. on one hand if im paying for a computer and a 50$ game it better damn look as best as it possibly can, and at least be better than a 300$ console makes it look. on the other hand at what point is buying all that hardware enough? and doesnt fps matter more than graphics in a multiplayer game anyways.

man, you need to look into o'clocking that card. im playing on a 9700 non pro all the settings on med. with 4xaa...Hopefully, ill order it in the next couple of weeks.

Dude I have exactly the same rig, but crappier 60 GB HD and I play it on all medium exact lighting options and with effects on high. Sure its really laggy in the beginning, but smooth as silk once it gets used to it...

I run no AA, I find it funny that people with cards lower than the 6600GT or 9800 Pro try and use AA, it must really fook up their system performance Increaseing your rez is a better way to make BF2 look better, the FPS tradeoff is far better than switching on AA.
