How much AA do you have right now?

i have 4x with a P4 3.4 2 CPUs, 512 ram, GeForce FX Go5700. cant wait to get the rig in my sig on tuesday.

how do you get 6x, i dont have it as an option,

Radeon 9800 Pro, 512 MB RAM, 2.4GHz P4, 100GB 7,500 PRM HD... Do you really think I can turn on my AA? I play all settings lowest. I could probly bump them up, seeing as how I get 40 FPS, but on some maps I get like 30...

Nvidia cards do not support 6xAA, ATI cards however do.

I was talking in-game. I'm not stupid enough to think they don't support it. And as far as I remember the "8x" AA on nvidia cards isn't a true 8x. There is some weird trick they do so it just looks better then 6x, but IMO 6x is plenty.

Oh ok, thought he was talking about outside the game. Can you not put it to 8x and force it or will it still not run at anything above 4?

You can force anything because it is then continual regaurdless of program.

BF2 seems to overide woteva u do on ur desktop (does for me anyway... maybe not for others?) so I have to go "let application decide" and use woteva AA settings are available in the game.

4x is enough anyway.

i use 1900x1600 on my 6800go. so no use for aa. at that res it does nothing but hit performance
