Punkbuster Problems

my friend just got bf2 and he installed 1.02, but when he joins a game within the first few minutes it tells him that he has an old version of punkbuster and kicks him. he went to punkbuster's website and dled pbweb.exe and all the other updates there were. any suggestions?

Update Punkbuster

manually update the punkbuster

DONT USE THE PBWEB!


under punkbuster security files

right click on For Players Filename: pbsec.htm
save target as...
save to program files\eagames\battlefield2\pb folder


under PunkBuster (BF2) Player Client Files
right click on both
PB Client v1.198 for Win32 Filename: wc001198.htm
PB ClientA v1310 for Win32 Filename: wa001310.htm
save target as...
save both file in
program files\eagames\battlefield2\pb\htm



that should do the trick on that!

I thought when you get this message it was meaning the server? Because i was running a server and i updated punk buster on my server and it seemed to fix the issue.

the server and the client should have the same version... check out punkbuster they just updated the client files.. like wc001198.htm to the current version of wc001199.htm
