Hey guys, I am about to finish up on building this gaming rig. Now it is my first computer. I just want to know how you guys think it will run BF2.

DFI Lanparty UT NF4
AMD Athlon 64 3200 939 Venice (Huge Zalman Copper Heatsink/LED Lighted)
XFX 6800GT 256 DDR3 PCI - Express
1024MB Ram
80GB SATA Hard Drive
500 Watt PSU



So how should the game Play?

System looks nice, make sure that you get the new versions of 3200+, the ones with the Venice core.

Well I mean my laptop has 1Gb ram So you might want to update your ram LATER!

Because now Ram prices are really high...

Why huge screen? I dont have tons of money. Cost me over 900 to build that, lol, Im done for now. Although, I might buy another gig, for like 80 bucks.

I think it will run fine, and the CPU is very OC friendly if you are into that.

You should be able to run on High settings with no lag in BF2. :)

If you are going to get 2GB it is better to have 2x1GB than 4x512, because it puts less strain on the memory controller, although Venice and San Diego core AMD 64s are better at memory management, e.g. 4x512 will not force the RAM to run 333MHz anymore.

So getting 2x1GB now is better than upgrading with additional 2x512 later.

Eh, well I just bought some good ol Cosair 1gb stick, DDR400, PC 3200, 2 of those, should do me fine

I only have a 1gb sitck at the moment, which is worst than 2x512's I here.....So I might have to buy anthing stick, to make 2x1gb sticks

AMD 64 3000+ Venice (with an xp-120 ontop)
DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D (hardmodded to sli-d)
Leadtek 6800GT
1GB of OCZ Voltage Xtreme PC4000 (2x 512 matched pair)
200gb SATA Barracuda
OCZ Powerstream 520w PSU

I'll be able to OC my processor to 2.4/5ghz with my ram in 1:1
The system should run like a dream. So should yours, except the ram doesn't look at pretty as mine (performance wise).
